Building a better HUMAN BEING with AI – the literacy AI project – workshops, presentations, teaching about AI

Consider:

Technological advancement has gone from 0 – 100 faster than anything else human kind has ever encountered. Everyday something new, smaller, faster and better arrives on the scene – replacing what we thought, only yesterday, was the ultimate tech pièce de résistance.

Human advancement, on the other hand, is slow – almost unnoticeable. When it comes to the human brain, the organ that supposedly separates us from all other species, we have yet to resolve our conflicts, our jealousies, our biases, our capacity to mature and finally work toward the common good. In many ways, we are no better than our ancestors.

Therein lies the dilemma we face when it comes to AI and sentient beings.

Will they replace us at the top of the food chain?

They will certainly be smarter and faster. They will be both smaller and bigger depending on the circumstances. And they will be here for the long haul.

Once the AI genie is out of the bottle once and for all, humanity will have a new relationship to maintain.

Will we fight? Will we be jealous? Will we be biased? Will we treat these new others as a new race but a race of slaves? Or, we will evolve to embrace the possibilities and, ultimately, change our behaviours toward each other?

Right now, this is up to us to decide.

So, let’s decide together …
